Mayor Scott Smith of Mesa Endorses Paul Gosar
San Tan Valley, Arizona – Today, Congressman Paul Gosar proudly announced that Mesa Mayor Scott Smith has endorsed his campaign in the race for Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.
“The citizens in our cities and towns need strong leadership and focused solutions,” said Mayor Smith. “I strongly support Congressman Gosar and urge the residents of Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and others across Arizona’s 4th Congressional District to ensure he can continue to work tirelessly to solve our nation’s problems.”
Dr. Gosar said, “Mayor Smith has proven to be a hard working public servant. His endorsement means a lot to me as we share the same values of hard work, effectiveness and fighting to make government more efficient.”
Scott Smith was elected Mayor of Mesa, Arizona in May of 2008. He has emerged as prominent leader in our state and country, serving in key roles on many local, state and national boards and committees. Most recently, Smith was elected as the Second Vice President of the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM). In 2013, Mayor Smith will become the organization’s president – the first Arizonan to every serve in that role.
